Only 2% of colds become bacterial sinus infections

Viral rhinosinusitis
In the case of viral infection of the sinuses, the entire period lasts for a maximum of 14 days, the first 4 days peak, the next 4 days decrease, and the last 4 days it gradually disappears.

If it goes more or more severe and takes another course, we should think about acute bacterial infection.
Chronic rhinosinusitis
If it reaches more than 12 weeks, it is already CRS and has 4 outstanding clinical symptoms

Exposure to severe rhinitis
Mild and occasional rhinitis
Nasal antihistamine or oral PRN for non-obstructive

ANS or combination of decongestant antihistamine or nasal antihistamine, but preferably with regular nasal corticosteroids, but for a few days

Chronic moderate rhinitis
ANS is the first line, especially if it is about obstruction or eosinophil

If eye problems, PRN eye antihistamine or regular

If the nasal and sinus problems are more frequent, add antihistamines to the nasal ANS and severe rhinorrhea and add Atronet.
